Tokyoplastic in KL

by Joanne Kok

UK animator Sam Lanyon Jones of Tokyoplastic will be running a one-day workshop for animators on Thursday 29 October 2009.

Hailing from the United Kingdom, Tokyoplastic have their tentacles firmly grasped on Japanese culture, art and design. Stylistically super clean cut and cute, Tokyoplastic's inspirations include Takashi Murakami, Miyazaki and Mike Judge. So here’s your chance to spend time alongside this established animator, finding out more about the creative workings of Tokyoplastic!

Date: Thursday 29 October 2009
Time: 10.00 am – 4.00pm
Venue: MSC Malaysia Creative Incubation Centre @ KL Sentral Cybercentre

During the first half of the workshop Sam will speak on storyline development/character development, taking participants through the creative process step by step. For the second half of the day, participants will be given an opportunity to showcase examples of work-in-progress and gain valuable feedback from both Sam and fellow animators.

The workshop is open to animators with at least 3 years experience (either with a company or freelance) and will be expected present work-in-progress at the workshop for the feedback session.

This event is jointly organised by British Council and MDeC and there is no fee but seats are limited so apply now by sending an email with your contact details and CV to arts@britishcouncil.org.my
